Tetley Tea.

Hey guys,
Today i going to be a slightly different blog, as it won't be about books, maekup or fashion but drinks. I have never been a big tea drinker, i try to keep up with drinking fruit tea at least once a day but i was more of a coffee girl myself...Until recently. My mother(whom i live with) came home from shopping a few weeks back with Tetley Blend of both teabags.
As you can read on the front of the packet it has both black and green tea in it and if you are anything like i am i thought errrr. I don't mind green tea or black tea but both at the same time no thanks, but i was pleasently surprised once i tried it. I didnt have the "green tea" taste to it like i thought it would. I was lik drinking normal everyday black tea. This has 72%black tea and 28% green tea, so it isn't over powering and it is nice with or without milk. I found drinking with milk made it taste like a normal tea and the milk lessened the green tea taste but without milk it tasted just like green tea. I would recommend everyone tries this as it isn't what i expected it to be and it's great for those who try to drink more healthy but don't like i was. I have found myself drinking more tea than i used to, i think i have had one cup of coffee in the last two weeks, when usually i would start everyday with a cup of coffee. I do believe it is priced around £2 for 80 tea bags at Asda, but i am sure once you can buy it at any food shopping centre and will probably be cheaper at other places. You can't moan about price if you just try to drink at least one a day as £2 over 80 days isn't that expensive. I have done a little research on both black and green tea and i have found green tea is good for you as it, increases metabolism, promote healthy body, helps with better oral health, increases energy and fights against aging. Black tea is good for bones and skin, increases energy and it gets rid of the anitoxidants in your body. Together this is a healthy cup of tea.

I also would like to talk about normal fruit tea, as i said above i try to drink at least one cup of cfruit tea a day as, they are refreshing, healthy for you and they make a nice change to the boring cup of tea you usually have. Twinning have a wide range of fruit tea, in all sorts of flavours. I like green tea and lemon as it takes the sour edge off green tea leaving it refreshing. Also what i like about fruit tea is if it is a hot day leave the tea to go cold and pour over ice, it is thrist quenching. Unlie normal tea you dont add milk to these. If you are unsure of what flavour to go with i know Twinnings do a mixture pack and that was how i found which ones i liked.

I hope you enjoyed this different blog post today. Have you tried the blend of both? Whats your favorite fruit tea? Feel free to leave a comment.

Organisation Tips.

Hey Guys,
Today i thought i would share with you some ways i organise my things. I'm not trying to tell you how to organise your things but i have found having everything the way i do, it is easy to find and is never a mess. Some of these things you may already have and choose to use them in the ame way i have.

First thing is this, I actually have two of these one each side of a Dvd rack, but one holds my make-up and nails polishes and the other has make-up wipes, scarves, head bands and spare shower gels and such and i also have a spare draw. I find these help you be more organised, as the one in the picture is the one i hold my make-up in, i use the top draw for face make-up, foundation, blusher, primer, concealer that sort of thing. The second draw is eyes, eyeshadow, mascara. the thd draw is lips, lipstick, lipglosses and the fourth draw is just nail polishes. I find keeping my stuff organised like this helps me know where everything is. This can be purchased at any home place. I bought this from Matalan about a year ago and the second one two years ago at Ikea.

As i have just said between my two wicker drawers i have a Dvd rack which also has a CD rack on both sides, been as thought i only have three CD's as all my music gets downloaded now, i thought i would hang my sun glasses on the rack as they wont get scratched or broken. Also i am a sucker for forgetting to put them on, but with them being hung up i tend to remember to put them on as i have to walk past them to leave my bedroom. The Dvd rack was purchased from Argos, but you can purchase one at any home place.

On top of the right wicker drawer i have these two three drawer compartments. These i tend to keep my little everyday things in. The top white one has my Eyeliners in one drawer, my eye lash curler, foundation brush and powder brush in the second drawer and in the last draw has my nail things like, nail file, clippers, cuticle pushers. In the purple drawers is just hair, i have bobbles in my top drawer, grips and small grips/clips in second drawer and third drawer has my bigger clips, or flowers.

This idea i actually stolen from someone on youtube a year ago, This is a Mug Tree. It's a stand you usually put your mugs on, but i keep my fake jewelery and watches on this. There are 6 prongs to this mug tree and i keep my bracelets on th back top on and the front top one i hang my necklaces. The middle two side ones i hang all my watches, i have 7 watches in total(most of them need new batteries). The back bottom prong has my hoop earrings on and the front has nothing as this is where the pendants of the bracelets hang. I do have more bracelets but they are ones i don't tend to use and they are stored in a old shoe box under my bed. This can be purchased anywhere.

This is a storge box, i have this one and the bigger version that holds my bed clothes, but this holds my everyday things, nail polish remover, face toner, a few pots of toner wipes, mini hand creams and stuff. I actually have this on top of th wicker drawers you saw in the picture and it gets slightly hidden by my TV, but it's just a random storage container. This and the bigger one was purchased from Ikea 3 year ago.

This was given to me for my 18th birthday, I was unsure what to do with this at first as, i already had a little trinket box i keep little memories in, but when i started shopping at Primark and purchased a lot of earrings i started using it as a earring tub, and it's great. It's good as a decorations on my window, but also holds sooo many earrings.

I hope you enjoyed this mini-ish blog today. Please feel free to leave a comment below telling me how you organise your things. Have you got any of the same items as myself?

Primark.

Hey Guys,
Up until about 6 months ago i was a Primark virgin, everyone used to rant and rave about how good this shop was and i never really got the excitement. I was and still am a lover of a shop called Matalan. The prices ranges from £3 to £60, but that all depends on which brand of clothing you shop for. I did have a waredrobe that was full of matalan and a few odds and ends from other shops that were gifts, but if i had money or needed clothes Matalan was the place i would go and i still do, but i now tend to go Primark also.
Matalan has a website and as far as i am aware they do not ship internationally, the link to the site is here. Matalan and Primark are similar on prices, the variety and also of fashion. Primark is good quality for the price you pay and you can get some good bargins in the sales. I personally tend to shop for Accessories in Primark as they are pretty, a good quality and are very cheap. Shoes also are good for your money although i will say i have yet to purchase some heels from there as i'm not a heel person. Primark also sell make up and as i have mentioned in a past blog here i love there nail varnishes. I haven't tried any of there make up yet but i will one day. I wouldn't say i have purchased alot from Primark, just Jeans, Plain black Trousers, a dress, Skirts, Loads of Tops, flat shoes and Mostly Accessories. If i am honest i am looking forward to the Autumn collection as i am an Autumn baby and i don't like the weather to hot or too cold and i find Autumn for me is just right. Also i will have had birthday money by then and will be able to spend hehe.
Do you like Primark? Maybe you're a Primark virgin like i was? Would you like me to do a Blog Haul next time i go? Leave comments below and i will get back to you.

My Top 5 Books Series.

Hey Guys,
Today i thought i would take to you about  books i would Recommend to everyone to read. I have thought long and hard which books i would recommend and came up with my top five books series. There is a bit of everything in my selection, just no si-fi as i have never really been into si-fi.
I would like to start by saying these are all my own opinions, if you have a few favorite books write it in a comment below and i will try and read the books.
My Top 5 Boook Series.
1) Harry Potter By J.K.Rowling.
Who hasn't already read these books or even seen the films? Even thought i am going to be 20 in September i still love these films and books. I find them very cleverly written for both children and adults to enjoy them.
As you may or may not know there are 7 books to this series and 8 films. The titles of these books are: Harry Potter and the Philosspher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Dealthy Hallows. You can purchase them books from Waterstones, Amazon and Ebay.  You can purchase the films from and DVD shop where you live or Ebay or Amazon.
2) Scarpetta Novels By Patricia Cornwell.
As mentioned in a past blog here, i have found a new love of Patricia Cornwell novels. I would recommend everyone to read at least one as they are gripping. If you read the stories in order you get to know the characters in the novels more, but even if you read an odd book from the middle otr the end it doesn't matter as they all have there own little story to them. The Scarpetta novels is an expanding series, just recently another book has been written by Patricia Cornwell. In order so far the Titles are: Postmortem, Body of Evidence, All that Remains, Cruel and Unusual, The Body Farm, From Potter's Field, Cause of Dealth, Unnatural Exposure, Point of Origin, Black Notice, The Last Precinct, Blow Fly, Trace, Predator, Book of the Dead, Scarpetta, The Scarpetta Factor, Post Mortuary, Red Mist and The Bone Bed. All these can be purchased from Waterstones, Ebay and Amazon.
3) Twilight By Stephenie Meyer.
As most people will have read the Twilight series, but it is still one of my favorites. Like Harry Potter these have also come out in film. I loved these books and each time a new films comes out i re-read all of the stories again as i am a geek. I will say one thing that annoys me still to this day is why is it called the Twilight series? The first book was called Twilight yes but not all of them go on about Twilight. There are four books and five films. The titles of these books are: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Braking Dawn. You can Purchase the books from Waterstones, Ebay and Amazon. You can purchase the Dvds from and Dvd shop by where you live or Ebay or Amazon.
4) Shopaholic Series By Sophie Kinsella.
The shopaholic series i actually started reading after i had watched Connfessions of a Shopaholic film. I loved the film so much i needed to read the books too. I have read a few of Sophie Kinsella's books in the past and found it was easy to read her books and they grab the reader from cover to cover. The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic and Confessions of a Shoaholic is the same book, but was re-written as Confessions of a Shopaholic for the film. The Shopaholic Series in order is: The Dreamworld of a Shopaholic, Shopaholic Abroad, Shopaholic Takes Manhattan, Shopaholic Ties the Knot, Shopaholic & Sister, Shopaholic & Baby and Mini Shopaholic. You can purchase the book from Waterstones, Ebay and Amazon. You can purchase the Dvd from any Dvd shop by where you live or Ebay or Amazon.
5) The Series of Unfortunate Events By Lmeony snicket.
This series is really more for children than adults but i had to put this in my top 5 as this was my favorite book series when i was growing up and if i remember right i had read this books about 7 times. These books, helped me see how easy i had it as a kid as these characters were always in trouble, i also used to wish me and my borthers and sister were like them, close and kind, but we never got were. The series of Unfortunate Events came out as a film and as a game and i had both, but as i grew up and my sister had her first baby (my nephew Tyler) he heard about it and wanted the books and stuff and so i gave them to him and he loves them and still does now and he's 9. Tyler used to get me to watch the film with him every night and read the books to him all the time, also as my sister had more children (she has four now) each child has had this series read to them and they all love it, so i know it's a winner with the children and it also a series i will be re-purchasing for when i have children of my own. There 13 books to this series and they are: The Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room, The Wide Window, The Miserable Mill, The Austere Academy, The Ersatz Elevator, The Vile Village, The Hostile Hospital, The Carnivorous Carnival, The Slippery Slope, The Grim Grotto, The Penultimate peril and The End. You can purchase these books from Waterstones, Amazon and Ebay. You can purchse the Dvd from and Dvd shop by where you live, Amazon and Ebay. You can purchase the game from Amazon and Ebay.
I hope you enjoyed this top 5 book series. Leave a comment below of you favorite series or tell me if you have read any of these. Don't be scared to recommend any book to me i'll try anything.

*Disclaimer: All opinions are my own. I have added a few sites where to purchase these books but seom like Ebay or Amazon may have stopped selling them.

Leopard Nail Art Tutorial.

Hey guys,
Today i will show you one of my favorite easy nail arts. I love leopard print and i love experimenting with nail polish, i thought i would share with you my way of creating a simple nail art. With this nail art you can mix and match with colours or just stick to one colour. To get the same nail art as me you will need 4 colour nail polishs all different colours, a white nail polish, a nail pen or a toothpick and black nail polish can be used and a clear.
I use a white as my base as it helps the colours stand out more from the nails and it attrack attention to the nails also. I chose coral, yellow, pink and blue as they are bright but also becuase they work with each other pretty well. I purchased my nail art pens at a hair and beauty convention two years ago, but you can buy some from Ebay. My clear was one in a set. This nail art can be completed in 4 easy steps.
Step One: Paint all your nails white. I understand this isn't a very good look to have on your nails but it will come to gether shortly trust me.
If you get some on the edge of the finger like i have don't worry get a cotton bud or Qtip and put some nail polish remover on it and wipe over where the nail polish is.

Step Two: Using the colours you chose to create this funky leopard print nail blob little dots of colour onto the nails. Don't worry if there is little gaps you dont want colour you can use a black to lessen the gap. I start with a blob of each other on each nail and then if i want to add more i will.

Step Three: Using you blak polish and toothpcik or black nail art pen, slowly go around the blobs, you can go all the way around or just three quarters of the way its up to you. I do also fill in the gaps with little blobs or lines of black to look more leopard print.
Step Four: Once everything is dry, take a clear polsih and paint over the nail leaving the nail shiny.

I hope you enjoyed this mini tutorial, i used more pictures this time as i didn't think it was as simple to explain as my basic french tip with a twist nail art here. If you enjoyed this nail art and would like to see more of my nail art tutorials leave a comment.

Patricia Cornwell.

Hey guys,
As i have said in the past i am a big book worm. If i get bored i read, if i have spare time i read and before i go to bed i always ready at least one chapter of a book as it relaxes me and it passes time.
Recently i have been reading the Patricia Cornwell books, a few years ago whilst on holiday i purchased one of her books and read and i loved it. I didn't know at the time it was part of a series lets say. You don't need to read the book as i am doing one after the other as each book as a different story line to it, but i found reading from the first book helps you understand the characters more. I haven't bought all of the book as of yet, but i am on way to getting the whole collection.

As you can see i have 12 books so far and i am currently reading the fourth one Cruel and Unusal. One thing you will notice is 10 books are the same size and font and same cover, one is white and different and i have two big ones, I purchased the 10 the same from Ebay for £19.99 as i thought at £1.99 a book you can't moan, as i started reading All that Remains the third book my partneractually purchased the fourth ones for me, but the Ebay seller is actaully purcahsed this bbok from had sent him the wrong book as he had ordered the book to match the others :( The two big books were actually purchased a year back as a shop you may or may not of heard of The Works always have 3 book for £5 or £1.99 each and i tend to pop in there as they stay up to date with popular books and you can't moan as they not too expensive.
Anyway back to the books, If you enjoy CSI, crime stories or even thrillers i would reccommend you try one these books, but also even if you just like reading and unsure if you will enjoy these try it anyway, as i didn't think i would enjoy these books as i am a type of person that like love stories or true stories. You can purchase these books from Ebay, Amazon and from the site here. I looked on the internet to find a site for you, so you can read about each book as if i were to write each blurb of each book you would be reading forever, i found this site here.
Are you a book worm? Have you read this series? Have you any books you would like to advise me to read? If so leave the a comment below and i will get back to you very soon.

Lipstick Collection

Hey guys,
Today i would like to show my lipstick collection. Up until about a year ago i was never really into lipstick i would rather of wore nothing on my lips or maybe a little bit of lipgloss. I do still use lipgloss but not very much, i use lipgloss now to compliment the lipstick or on my rushed days.

I wouldn't say my lipstick collection was small or it is not big, but i have enought for a good little choice. As you can probably see i have a favorite collection due to the amount of the same collection i have. I like to try new lipsticks all the time but i don't like spending too much on make up either. As stated in my nail varnish collection here i keep my makeup in a 4 drawer wicker basket storage and lipsticks/lipglosses has there own draw.

Laval is a brand i stumbled upon at a market once, there was a makeup stand and the lipstiskc were £1 i liked the colour range there was so i purchased the three i would mostly use, they don't last very long on the lips. I like the nude as is matches my skin tone very well and isn't to brown for my liking. The gentle pink, is nice but i tend to use this with a subtle lipgloss to dial down the pink. The Sienna i actually bought because of the name. I have relatives in Vienna as i am part Austrian and i saw Sienna and thought of my family and also i liked the colour. These lipsticks are good quality, but you will need to use a lip balms beforehand on dry lips days and these tend to stick to the dry parts of the lips. I am unsure where you can purchase these lipsticks, but i have found the Laval Website here. I give these lipsticks 2.5 out of 5

These five lipsticks are from the Rimmel collection. As you can see they are highly pigmented and i will say i prefer the moisture renew collection the most out of these five which are the purple ones. I purchased these all from either boots and superdrug at some point. All the lipsticks are higly pigmented, they do last a good while and are good quality, as i have alsready stated i do prefer the Moisture renew compared to the other too as i tend to get dry lips and putting my moisture back into my lips helps. They all have a make up smell to them but it isn't over powering. These are more pricey for lipstick at £6.29. Murberry Silk (293) is a quite nude lipstick and will just add the the finished make up look. I give this a 3 our of 5. Flirt (016) tends to make your lips look shiny and bigger. This lipstick is moisturing but not as much as the others, it is a good lipstick. I give this a 3 out of 5 also. now Funtime Fushia(320) Rose Passion(160) and Lation(200) are all great quality, they last a little bit longer than the other two, are highly moisturing and are highly pigmented. I would recommend these to anyone and everyone. i give these a 4 out of 5.

I haven't taken a picture of the number or colour name as this is on my blog here and also the number of the shade is on the lid and i didn't think this would be pretty to look at on this post. These can be purchased at Superdrug for £1. I like this lipsticks, they go on a dream, are highly pigmented and do moisturise the lips very well. I only have two colours but i do plan to buy more. They don't apply to the lips as bright as they look and they are a great value for money, they do last awhile as long as your not eating drinking and stuff. These have a coconut smell to them, but it isn't too powerful. I give these a 4 out of 5 also. Please try one you can't moan if you don't like them for a pound.

These are a bunch of random lipsticks and i will explain each one. First one is L'oreal Radiant Rose (s103) and is £8.69 This is from the colour riche serum collection. It is very moisturising and is higly pigmented. This lipstick has collagen and Hyaluronic Acid in it to make your lips look fuller. The colour is as bright as it looks and this doesn't have a strong make up smell to it. This lasts awhile but not as mcuh as i would like it too. i give this 3 out of 5. Next is a Marks and spencer lipstick in Valentine. I was given this as a family member didn't like the colour on her and thought it would suit me. This has the make up smell to it, is higly pigmented and doesn't last very long. This is good for a quick look for a meal or something but i wouldn't reccomend this to anyone. i give this a 2 out of 5. Next is my Revlon lipstick in Perfect Pastel (060), i love this lipstick. It works great as a natural lip colour for myself and is very moisturising, i tend to use this to interviews, dates, at college. i have also used this with other colours to die them down a little. I would reccomend this to anyone. I have looked on the internet for somewhere to purchase this and i found nothing. i give this a 3.5 out of 5. Next is a colortrend lipstick from Avon. i have it in shade Amethyst. I like the colour of the lipstick, but it doesn't apply to the lips as it looks. It has the make up smell. This doesnt last very long and i wouldn't reccommend to anyone as it reminds me for more of a lip blam than a lipstick and as you are paying to buy a lipstick thats not what you would get. I give this a 1.5 out of 5. Lastly i have a Accessorize lipstick in shade 5 Smitten this was £4.29, but i purchased this lipstick when Superdrug were having an offer with £2 off, so i only paid £2.29. i love how bright this lipstick is and it really adds to a make up look, but i would say to apply a generous amount of lipbalm beforehand or lipgloss afterward other wise it will stick to the dry areas of your lips. do not purchase this shade if you can't pull off a bright colour. This has a make up smell to it but it isn't over powering. I give this a 3 out of 5 would be better if it moisturised the lips also.

Collection2000 are without a doubt my all time favorite lipsticks. They don't tend to bring out many colours which is a shame, but i keep my eyes open for the news ones as i love them. I have some from the lasting colour and some from the volume sensation collection. They have actually changed the packaging to pink in the lasting colour i believe. I purchase my lipsticks from Superdrug for £2.99 and most of the time they have an offer for 2 for £4.99, which is a price you can't moan about for the standard of the lipstick. Collection2000 lipsticks are highly pigmented, give moisture to the lips, it doesnt stick to the dry areas of the lips and also they last for a very long time. I have 9 shades so far and i love each shade, there are more to the collection but i tend to find brown/dark colours don't tend to work with my skin tone very well and they leave me looking very pale. I would reccommend this lipstick to everyone! I give them a rating out of 5 out of 5.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post today and if you have any favorites leave a comment. Has anyone else tried Collection2000 and have found a lipstick as good as these? please let me know.

Basic Nail Tutorial.

Hey guys,
Today i thought i would do a nail art tutorial for you, it's very basic and easy to do and all products used were bought by myself, i haven't been paid to write this either.
As you can see it is a basic french tip nail with a little sprinkole of glitter and a heart shped nail gem.
This is simple to do and this adds a little spin on the basic french tip nails.
Step one: I filed my nails to size and shape and then cleansed my hands to get rid of and dirt or product(from hand creams)
Step Two: I took a white nail polish and using the white tips of my own nail as a stencil drew a line with a little arch straight across my nail.
Step Three: After the white tip has dried i took then took a glitter polish(you can use different colours but i went with blue glitter with specs of silver) i went over the white with an even coat.
Step Four: Whilst that was drying i chose a nail gem and apply a little bit of nail glue to the nail where i wanted the gem and using my tweezers i placed the gem on the glue held down for a few seconds and then let the glue harden up a little.
Step Five: Once everything was dry i applied a top coat and there is my basic spin on a french tip.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, i was going to take pictures as i was creating my nail art, but it is so simple to do i thought it would be okay to write about it instead.
If you would prefer pictures with my up and coming tutorials let me know

Laura's Tips & Tricks!

Hey guys,
Today i thought i would post a little tips and tricks post, as over the years i have found little way to save money and sometimes time and i thought i would share those with you today. They may not be in a good order but trust me they all work =]
Tips and tricks:
1) Using brown sugar as an exfoliator really works and keeps the skin really soft. It is cheaper to buy than some of the exfoliators out there and still does the same thing.
2)Organic apple juice is also great for the skin, sounds silly but it really cleanses the skin and acts as a toner also which tightens up those pores.
3)Using a shampoo for greasy/oily hair works as a good kitchen/bathroom cleaner as it gets rid of all the oils as that is what it is bulit for and it leave surfaces smelling great, better than bleach anyway.
4)If you are one of those people that like nail polish on all the time..don't. Take it off and leave no polish on your nails for 1-2 days it helps keep the nails strong and also gives them time to breathe.
5)Have you ever had a lipgloss or mascara that seems to be empty but you can see or feel the product still in there? Put some hot/warm water into a mug and place the mascara or lipgloss into cup till the water has gone cold. This will loosen up the particles within the tude and it melts down leaving you with more product.
6)Don't just use one shampoo. When i first started college studying hairdressing i used to think as i know many people do, if you have coloured hair you need shampoo and sometimes conditioner for coloured hair wrong! Everyone's hair changes, sometimes mine is really greasy from product build-up, or its really dry from a hairspray that really dries out my hair and sometimes i only need a light cleanser and so i need a few different shampoos. I know this sounds a little expensive going out and buying all types of shampoos, but buy them when they are on offer and you don't need to buy them all at once.
7)Showering or having a bath everyday can dry out skin and make your skin think it needs to produce more oils leaving you feeling greasy and dirtier than when you went into the bath, but i tend to change cleansers everyother day. I use a shower gel like Palmolive and the next i use a soap, dove or Nivea and they are more soft and gentle to the skin.
8)Have you ever ran out of heat protector spray and had a mini panic thinking you miht damage your hair? Fear not, using a leave in conditioner does the same thing. Both conditioner and heat protector put a barrier onto the hair stopping it from getting any damage.
9)Be organised, sounds silly but i have a space for everything. I know where it all is and my room doesn't get cluttered with things everywhere, as long as you put things back when finished with them you won't need to tidy up as much.
10)Lastly i hate it when necklaces get all tangled up and you end up with a ball of gold and silver the charms popping out of it, i bought a mug tree. I hang my necklaces on there and now they don't get all tangled, they are easy to get at and make a good ornament type thing on my window.

I have many more tips and tricks. If you liked this blog post today, write in the section below and i will write another blog like this some time.
